I keep venturing out into the unknown. Check out my video on YouTube. There are things that will eventually either be corrected or replaced but for now here it is. (One of the things is the print - it is hard to read so realize that what you are seeing is a pairing of Hubble deep space photos to my work.) I hope that you enjoy.

Taft Art Museum - Artists Reaching Classrooms (ARC)
I am involved with the Taft Art Museum here in Cincinnati. Through it teachers, artists and Taft docents work together to expose high school students to working artists so they can learn what it is like to be a professional artist and be inspired to create their own work. Throughout the first half of the school year the students will either have an artist visit them at school to talk about their work and/or will go to the Taft Museum and artists studios to see first hand what it is all about. It got kicked off today. I am looking forward to a good year with them.
Included here are a few of the paintings that I showed at the kickoff.. Top to bottom - "Arctic Heat" 40 X 40, "Off to the Universe that Called Them" - a tribute to the crew of the Columbia Space Shuttle - 48 X 72, "Hand of God" 49" diameter

"Celebrating the Sun" - a Short Explanation of the series
A couple of my sunset series for "Celebrating the Sun" 12" X 18".
The Sun Series will have sunsets, sun symbols, aurora borealis, solar flares and fusions and other abstract and representational paintings depicting something about the sun. When it is all finished it will seem a little bit out of joint with each other but it will be thus as a statement of the many ways we see, celebrate and need the sun

Welcome
Welcome to my art blog. In it I will post work that I have done and tell you about the shows I am in or the galleries I am showing in. I will be sharing some of my thoughts on art as well. Who knows where this will go. I hope you enjoy. Let me hear from you.
This picture is part of a new series I am working on for a show in November at the Canton Museum of art. The series is called, "Celebrating the Sun" and will have anywhere from 20-40 pieces in it. This piece is 30 X 30.
